Meet Our Keynote Speaker, Nic Stone
We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker this year will be New York Times bestselling author Nic Stone, who empowers us to see that our stories matter and that we can use them to build bridges and leave a positive, vibrant legacy. She has dedicated her life to writing the stories she needed when she was younger—the stories that make us feel seen, represented, and ready to connect with others.
Nic believes sharing our stories is vital to doing the essential, necessary work of racial and social justice. If we want to rebuild and heal, making connections and embracing empathy through stories will go a long way.
Nic will share more on her flagship piece, Dear Martin, the journey of writing the book, how that weaves into her own experiences against the backdrop of systemic racism and racial violence. She will also highlight a vision of rebuilding a racially just and equitable education system. A moderated conversation and audience Q&A will follow.
