Myanna A. Khalfani-King

Myanna A. Khalfani-King is a Los Angeles native that has worked to advocate and improve outcomes for children and families. She supports ECI’s criminal justice efforts as it pertains to the nexus between policy and budgeting. Myanna completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, achieving her BA in Government and African and African-American Studies. In addition, she holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law with an emphasis on criminal law and policy, as well as family and child law. Myanna has spent time interning and working on juvenile justice issues by interning for a judge on youth justice issues, clerking for Public Counsel where she provided legal assistance to transitional aged foster youth, and with the Child and Family Law Clinic where she represented juvenile and adult victims of domestic violence during dependency hearings.
