Ronald serves as the Associate Director of Communications at Catalyst California, where he oversees the strategic vision of the communications department as well as the planning and production of key materials and assets related to communication advocacy, fundraising, and event-based campaigns. Ronald’s passion for creating a more equitable society began back in 2008 when he worked on racial justice campaigns on behalf of the NAACP, the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society, and other non-profit organizations. Prior to joining Catalyst California, Ron served as the Digital Communications Manager at New American Leaders, where he created and executed social media campaigns around immigrant rights, voting rights, pay for public officials, and the stories of first and second-generation Americans in public office. He also served as the Digital Communications Specialist at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund in New York City, developing digital campaigns around employment discrimination, school segregation, the death penalty, and voting rights. Before that, Ronald spent several years in Okinawa, Japan teaching English to children and adults.
